Privacy Policy

Overview

This website processes only minimal personal data: what is technically required to deliver its pages, anonymous usage statistics, and — only if you choose to join our waitlist — your email address. Only if you additionally consent via our cookie banner, we also use the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising (see below). We take the protection of your data seriously and follow the principle of data minimization.

Cookies

This website sets one strictly necessary first-party cookie: cc_cookie, which stores your cookie consent choice for about 6 months. It is required to remember your decision and is exempt from consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, §25(2) TTDSG). Beyond that, cookies are only set if you actively consent to them via our cookie banner — currently this concerns the Meta Pixel (see below). Our own analytics tool (Umami) works entirely without cookies. You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time via the Cookie settings.

External Services

All resources of this website, including web fonts and our analytics tool, are hosted on our own servers. If you simply visit this site and do not give consent in the cookie banner, no requests are sent to third-party providers. Requests to third parties only occur if you consent to the Meta Pixel (requests to Meta servers, see below) or if you sign up for our waitlist (see Waitlist Signup below).

Analytics

We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-friendly web analytics tool, to understand how visitors use this website — for example which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked. Umami runs on our own infrastructure (umami.ludomagus.com); no data is shared with third parties. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not create profiles of you across other websites. All collected data is anonymized and aggregated and cannot be traced back to you as a person. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in analyzing and improving our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Meta Pixel (only with your consent)

If — and only if — you consent via our cookie banner, we use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Meta"). The Meta Pixel helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, for example whether visitors who clicked one of our ads later join the waitlist. For the collection and transmission of this data we and Meta act as joint controllers; Meta is solely responsible for the subsequent processing. The pixel sets cookies such as _fbp (duration: 90 days) and transmits data about your visit (e.g. pages viewed, browser information, IP address) to Meta. Your data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA; this transfer is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Meta is certified.

The legal basis for this processing is exclusively your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, §25(1) TTDSG). Without your consent, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the Cookie settings; the withdrawal takes effect from the next page load. For details on how Meta processes personal data, see Meta’s privacy policy.

Waitlist Signup

If you sign up for our waitlist, we process the email address you provide in order to send you a confirmation email (double opt-in) and, after you confirm, to notify you about available seats and the public launch of Fatewritten. Your address is only stored in our contact list once you click the confirmation link; unconfirmed signups are not stored and the confirmation link expires after 48 hours. We use the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as our processor to send these emails and manage the contact list. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent and have your address removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing info@ludomagus.com.

Technical Data

When you visit this website, your browser transmits technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to our web server. This data is used solely for the technical delivery of the website content and is not permanently stored.

Your Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data concerning you, the right to restrict or object to its processing, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. These rights apply in particular to any data you provide to us directly, for example your waitlist email address or messages you send us by email.
